The Liberian Senate, 31st Day Sitting, 5th session.

The Liberian Senate has unanimously voted for the acceptance and the endorsement of the Senate committee on Public Accounts & Audit report on the GAC finding of the misapplication of the national road fund. The committee report says that the $7 million dollars alleged to have been misapplied by the finance minister was appropriated by the Senate in the 2019/2020 recast budget.
Senator Abe Darius Dillon, challenged this report, but plenary took a vote and 13 senators voted "Yes", 3 senators (Senator Jonathan Kaipay, of Grand Bassa, Senator Jonathan BoyCharles Sogbie, River Gee and Senator Coming Wesseh, River Gee) abstained and 1 senator, senator Dillon, voted "No" against.

In conclusion, the Liberian Senate has agreed that the national road fund was not misapplied as widely alleged, but it was appropriated by the legislature through the 2019/2020 recast budget.
