Barnesville, Liberia – In a touching display of camaraderie and respect, the Barnesville Sports Association (Super BOSA) held a sendoff event for Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, celebrating not only his appointment but also his enduring relationship with the community.
Hon. Ngafuan, who recently returned from a stint in Uganda and now steps into his new role as Finance Minister, was honored by Super BOSA, an association that unites individuals from various professional spheres across Liberia.
The gathering underscored a deep sense of fraternity and mutual support, beyond the formalities of titles and positions.
Reflecting on the occasion, Hon. Ngafuan remarked, “It was almost four years ago when I was leaving for Uganda and received a farewell from this same group. Now, as I return from the east to the west, this honor is not about my appointment as Finance Minister but about the bond we share. Titles come and go, but Super BOSA remains a steadfast brotherhood.”
The event was marked by the Finance & Development Planning Minister and top-level address, where they all emphasized the importance of personal connections and community support.
Hon. Ngafuan intimated “Being among friends who accept you for who you are is a rare gift. Whether in positions of power or in everyday life, it’s the genuine connections that sustain us,” he noted.
Minister Ngafuan also drew parallels between the support he receives from Super BOSA and his approach to his new responsibilities. “In soccer, if you score a goal, it’s not just about the player who scores but also about the team that supports. The same applies to life and work. When we achieve success, it’s because of the collective effort and encouragement from our community.”
Acknowledging the role of Super BOSA in his life, Hon. Ngafuan stated, “This honoring is not about the position I hold but about the brotherhood we share. It’s about the times we’ve sat together, shared our struggles, and supported one another.”
As Hon. Ngafuan embarks on his new role, he expressed confidence in facing the challenges ahead, buoyed by the advice, prayers, and support from his peers. “To do good is not difficult; it is the right path, and with the backing I have received, I am prepared to tackle the responsibilities ahead.
Success in our country is not just about achieving personal goals but also about making a positive impact on the lives of ordinary people.”
The event concluded with a sentiment of optimism and unity, as Finance & Development Planning Minister, Hon. Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, Rep. Richard Nagbe Koung, Sen. Jonathan Sogbie and his Super BOSA family celebrated their shared journey and commitment to contributing positively to Liberia’s future.
As the Finance & Development Planning Minister begins his new role, the support from Super BOSA serves as a reminder of the strong community ties that underpin personal and professional achievements.
