Among the primary events covering the preparation of the FY2014-2015 National Budget is the budget hearings, where the Ministries, Agencies and Commissions (MACs) present and justify their budget requests at the Ministry of Finance.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance is pleased to announce a revised scheduled which has been issued to guide Ministries, Agencies and Commissions (MACs) for the hearings that will occur from Tuesday, April 1st through Friday, April 4, 2014. Please note the following list which provides the dates and time each entity will appear.
Meanwhile, please remember that consistent with the PFM Act, the Ministry of Finance is required to prepare the budget in a manner that provides adequate time for the President’s review before subsequent presentation to the National Legislature by April 30th, 2014.
In light of this time constraint, we need all Ministries, Agencies and Commissions (MACs) to cooperate and be represented by their heads and/or deputy heads, accompanied by their principal financial officers.
Hearings will be conducted in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor at the Ministry of Finance on Broad Street, with the exception of hearing for Security Sector, which will be conducted at the National Police Academy in Paynesville.
