Finance and Public Works Ministers meet OPEC Fund Team Headed by Director of Portfolio Management Public Sector
Monrovia, Liberia - Mourad Bouaou, Director of Profolio Management Public Sector, of the OPEC Fund for International Development today, held a very productive discussions with Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan and Public Works Minister Roland Lafayette Giddings on the continuous financing of the Gbarnga - Mendikorma Highway.
OPEC Fund is amongst one of the original Arab Lenders funding the road project.
The discussions focused on the speed up implementation of the Salayea leg of the Gbarnga- Mendikorma Highway and mobilizing additional financing from OFID and other Arab lenders for the Salayea Konia - Konia - Voinjama leg of the highway.
The Voinjama-Mendikorma leg of the highway is to be funded under the PAVITO agreement currently at the National Legislature for ratification.
