Monrovia, Liberia - The Director General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), His Excellency Dr. Sidi Ould Tah arrives in Liberia today for a three day official visit.
According to a Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) release, Dr. Sidi Ould Tah is in Liberia to review the performance of the Arab Bank’s portfolio in Liberia which includes three development projects aligned to Government’s Economic Transformation; Pillar Two of the Agenda for Transformation (AfT) valued thirty four Million United States Dollars.
The three development projects funded by BADEA are focused on providing basic services as well as support to the infrastructure, energy and environment sectors of Government’s development agenda projects which include; Bushrod Power Generation Plant Expansion, the Roberts International Airport (RIA) Runway Rehabilitation and the upgrading of Gbarnga-Salayea Road.
The MFDP’s release indicated that, while in Liberia Dr. Sidi Ould Tah will meet with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and pay a courtesy call on Vice President Joseph NyumahBoakai.
The Arab Bank for Development in Africa Director General will also hold series of meetings with authorities of the Ministries of Finance and Development Planning, Public Works, Lands Mines and Energy, the Liberia Airport Authorities among others.
