While in Washington DC, the delegation is expected to hold bilateral and multilateral discussions on Liberia’s pro-poor development agenda and make follow-up on commitments made by development partners to support the government’s development plan.
Ahead of the summit, Minister Tweah and team will also hold discussions with the World Bank Vice President for Africa Makhtar Diop looking at challenges confronting the Liberian economy and considering more avenues for the Bank’s support.
Moreover, while in the US, the Minister will hold talks with senior officials of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank Group, The United States Peace Corps, the United States Departments of State and Treasury, African Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, among others.
Officials traveling along with Minister Tweah include Deputy Minister for Economic Management Hon. Augustus J. Flomo, Agriculture Minister, Hon. Mogana S, Flomo Jr., Minister of Information Culture and Tourism, Hon. Lenn Eugene Nagbe, Minister of State without Portfolio, Hon. Trokon Kpui, Minister of Land, Mines and Energy Hon.
