Buchanan, Grand Bassa - The Millennium Challenge Corporation Compact Eligibility Team has held a two-day retreat in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County from August 10-11 in order to engage in participatory strategic planning involving members of the MCC Compact Eligibility Indicator Technical Working Group to review the FY17-18 Indicator Performance Plans and develop strategies for the FY18-19 MCC Compact eligibility program activities.

Tweah, Jr. on behalf of the Government of Liberia and the French Ambassador Terrence Wills along with the Director of the French Development Agency Bruno Leclerc both representing the French government have signed a 5 million Euros financing agreement that will provide budget support to Liberia.

The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) has reaffirmed its support to the rebuilding process of Liberia under the current leadership of President George Manneh Weah. Making the promise during a side meeting with Liberian delegation at the 27th Annual meetings of the Board of Governors of the ACBF held in the Cameroon Capitol of Yaoundé, the ACBF’s Executive Secretary, Professor Emmanuel Nnadozie expressed his gratitude to the people of Liberia for the orderly and peaceful 2017 elections, which ushered in the democratic regime of H.E. George Manneh Weah.
